Description:

Club members often head to the Alps for climbing and mountaineering during the summer. Whilst the club does not arrange a single 'Alps Meet', it enables members to arrange trips amongst themselves.

Those who have no or limited previous alpine experience are welcome to use this forum to seek advice or information if considering a trip.

Members are invited to express their interest in going to the Alps by 'booking' here and posting their plans or interests.

Due to climate change, many snow and ice routes are in better condition outside the hottest months so people are increasingly choosing to visit the Alps earlier or later. However, others are tied to taking holiday in July/August, so it is common for there to be parties heading out across a range of dates.
