The outdoor-specific course will be provided by Whitehorse Ambulance at their site in Moreton. It will be delivered over two days, comprise of 16 hours, and include an element of assessment, which satisfies the FA requirements for awarding bodies such as Mountain Training. Each participant will receive a certificate which is valid for 3 years. The WMC committee has decided to subsidise the course, which brings the course cost down to £75pp. However, we have agreed that the subsidy will not be available to people who require the course for commercial purposes, e.g. instructors and in such case the cost will still be £100 (please email us if you have any questions with regard to that).
We have made the provisional booking but whether the course takes place depends on the interest. That is why we are asking all those interested to pay the money into the club general account by the end of September. We need the minimum of 8 participants and the maximum we can accommodate is 12 max.
